Dear Laser sailor, Hoorn is the venue for the ILE 2009 in The Netherlands. This location has been selected not only for its splendid racing conditions and sailing infrastructure, it is also one of the finest historic towns along the IJsselmeer borders. Hoorn's city center is within walking distance of the launch area. For those not sailing, Hoorn is a very interesting port dating from the 17th century. Back then, the harbour provided open access to the Zuiderzee and the seas beyond. Hoorn prospered in this Dutch 'Golden Age', when one of Hoorn's sons, Jan Pieterszoon Coen, founded Batavia in Indonesia. Hoorn is only 30 minutes away from Amsterdam center. Directions to the location are provided elsewhere on this site, along with tips for accomodation. We expect around 200 participants in the Standard, Radial and 4.7 class. Each class will have its own course, start and administration. On behalf of the Dutch Laserclass Association and the ILE event committee we wish you successful and enjoyable races.

Entry and registration The entry closing date is 11 May 2009.Late entries will be charged an additional fee of € 10,00. The registration office is open on Thursday May 14 from 14h00 - 22h00, all other days from 08h00 hrs till the end of the races.
